- Maintainership — Merge rights on a project people depend on
- Review judgment — You reject patches that pass and still rot
- History — You know how codebases change release to release
- Precision — You can write a test that encodes the concern
Work you might do
- Reviewing agent patches against simulated future versions
- Writing tests that separate lasting fixes from short-sighted ones
- Curating tasks verified to distinguish good fixes from bad
- Flagging patches a maintainer would never merge
